Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar support role
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certifications required (training may be provided for CPI if you do not already possess it)
- Reliable, positive, and proactive with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working collaboratively within high school classrooms
- Able to foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for students
- Adaptable, responsive, and eager to take initiative
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group support to high school students within the classroom
- Assist with implementation of instructional plans and classroom activities under teacher direction
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback/reporting as needed
- Support positive classroom behavior management strategies, utilizing CPI training when necessary
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Adapt to the specific needs of students and classroom teachers, ensuring all learners are supported
