Ministry Coordinator



The Position

Above Group is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Ministry Coordinator, supporting Above Group in carrying out the spiritual and community-building initiatives of the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, people-centered, and motivated by a genuine passion to serve others. This role plays a key part in the heartbeat of the company; supporting and upholding the quality and vision of our company standards. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and effectively communicate ministry-related materials, events, presentations, and team updates.
  • Serve as a positive representative of the organization, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, and external partners, to strengthen spiritual engagement and participation
  • Offer mentorship and training opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship
  • Plan and organize team-building events, Bible studies, mission trips, service projects, and Dream Manager meetings with staff.
  • Implement strategies and initiatives to maximize employee care.
  • Collaborate with and maintain positive relationships with partnered organizations
  • Track and manage logistics such as volunteer coordination, event setup, supply procurement, and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain and organize ministry records and correspondence.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the role.



Minimum Requirements

The Ministry Coordinator shall meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Team player, with a high degree of engagement with people, and relates well to others internally and externally.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting remote and hybrid teams.
    • Highly organized with an attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and has a professional demeanor.
    • Demonstrated administrative and coordination experience
    • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with leadership.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Time management and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
    • Adaptability; flexibility with schedules and duties.
    • Professional integrity and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately, while balancing and keeping compliance at the forefront.
    • Event planning and coordination experience.
    • Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook) and other collaboration tools.

  • Education and Experience
    • Associates or Bachelors degree in ministry, communications, counseling, or related field, preferred.
    • 5-10 years of experience leading or supporting organizational ministry, employee spiritual care, or community engagement within corporate, or nonprofit environment
    • Experience applying ministry principles within a business or organizational environment is strongly preferred.
    • Ideal candidate would have a combination of education and experience.
    • Must reside in the Baltimore, MD or Melbourne, FL area. This will be a hybrid position, with 3 days being in the office.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    • Employees working remotely at any time are required to have:
      • Reliable high-speed internet access capable of supporting video conferencing, VPN access, and cloud-based applications
        • The ability to troubleshoot basic connectivity issues or coordinate with their internet service provider as needed
      • A stable, secure home network suitable for handling confidential company and client information
      • A dedicated, quiet workspace free from regular interruptions during working hours
        • An environment that supports sustained focus, productivity, and compliance with company security and confidentiality standards
      • The ability to participate in video meetings with a professional setting and appropriate audio/visual quality
