Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer responsible for creating 3D models and designing sheet metal parts using SolidWorks. The role involves developing comprehensive manufacturing packages, including shop drawings and assembly instructions, and collaborating closely with the engineering team to ensure accurate designs and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models of equipment.
- Design sheet metal parts using SolidWorks.
- Develop manufacturing packages, including shop drawings and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate designs and documentation.
- Manage, process, and update revisions, drawings, and bill of materials.
- Exhibit mechanical aptitude with strong abstract thinking and reasoning skills.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD modeling.
- Ability to create blueprints and drawings for manufacturing packages.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sheet metal design is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment involves the use of advanced design software, primarily SolidWorks, and requires collaboration with an engineering team. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple design revisions and documentation processes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Maple Grove, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
