The Residential Plumbing Dispatcher is a key member of our operations team, responsible for efficiently coordinating and dispatching plumbing technicians to residential service calls. This role ensures optimal utilization of field staff, provides exceptional customer service, and maintains accurate scheduling and job tracking using ServiceTitan, our field service management software.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatching & Scheduling: Assign and dispatch plumbing technicians to residential service appointments based on skill set, location, and availability using ServiceTitan. Proactively manage the daily schedule to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding scheduling, service updates, and technician arrival times. Address customer inquiries and resolve scheduling issues promptly and professionally.
- Job Coordination: Monitor job progress in real-time using ServiceTitan, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation. Update technicians and customers on any changes or delays.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping: Enter and update job details, customer information, and technician notes in ServiceTitan to maintain accurate records and support billing and reporting processes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service manager, technicians, and other office staff to ensure seamless operations and a positive customer experience.
- Emergency Response: Handle urgent and after-hours service requests efficiently, prioritizing jobs based on severity and customer needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration or dispatching preferred.
- Previous experience in a dispatch, scheduling, or customer service role, preferably in the plumbing or home services industry.
- Strong proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing services and terminology is required.
Working Conditions
- Office-based position with standard business hours; some evening or weekend shifts may be required to support emergency dispatching.
