Job Title: Monitor Technician / EKG Tech / Telemetry Technician
Location: Bronx, NY 10461
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule & Shift
- Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Schedule: 5 days/week | 7.5 hours/day | 37.5 hours/week
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Rotating weekends and holidays required
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Monitor Technician to join a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and continuous patient observation to ensure timely identification of abnormalities and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry systems
- Accurately interpret EKG/ECG rhythm strips
- Identify and promptly report cardiac abnormalities to clinical staff
- Perform and record vital signs as required
- Observe, interpret, and document cardiac waveforms and measurements
- Maintain continuous patient observation for safety and quality care
- Communicate effectively with nurses and healthcare team members
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation per facility standards
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of total experience, including at least 1 year in acute care
- Strong experience in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- EKG Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (AHA Required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
