Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for a Radiation Therapist skilled in operating Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators to support outpatient ambulatory cancer patients requiring radiation therapy. This contract position is based in Charlotte, NC, at a busy outpatient cancer clinic treating 60 to 100 patients daily across three machines. The role offers a dynamic work environment with strong leadership backing and a collaborative team of approximately 12 therapists per shift.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
- National certification as a Radiotherapy Technologist (ARRT-T)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficient in the use of Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators
- Experience treating a variety of cancer diagnoses preferred
- Willingness to float to other sites in the greater Charlotte area, with manager approval
Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise radiation treatments to outpatient cancer patients
- Operate and maintain Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators in accordance with safety and quality protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Document treatments and patient conditions accurately in EMR systems (EPIC/Aria)
- Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing training
