Pharmacy Technician

$24.45/hour | Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire | Onsite

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Hudson, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with a respected Fortune 500 company and offers strong potential for career growth and permanent hire based on performance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $24.45 per hour
• Schedule: Full-time, 40+ hours per week
• Type: Contract-to-Hire

Responsibilities

• Support a pharmacy filing project expected to last approximately 40 hours
• Assist with pharmacy order support, including:
• • Assembling boxes
  • Loading and unloading ice and cold-chain materials
• Answer incoming phone calls and take messages as needed
• Retrieve and organize labs for faxing
• Pick and pack supplies such as:
• • Syringes
  • Gauze
  • Ice
• Dispatch orders by:
• • Scanning items into the system
  • Reviewing orders for accuracy
  • Printing shipping labels
• Help support a short-staffed pharmacy environment by assisting in a variety of daily tasks

Pharmacy Technician Duties

• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Fill prescriptions and assist with IV preparation
• Enter data into the system for prescription processing and reimbursement support
• Prepackage medications according to established standards and government regulations
• Assist pharmacists with final prescription checking and packaging
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers
• Help maintain proper inventory practices, including:
• • Receiving medications and supplies
  • Rotating stock
  • Posting lot numbers and expiration dates
  • Assisting with physical inventory
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Check equipment for calibration, cleanliness, and safety

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Healthcare support or fulfillment experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable taking on a variety of responsibilities throughout the day
• Team-oriented with a hands-on work style
