Job DescriptionBindery Operator - DIRECT HIRE UP TO $28 PER HOURJob Description

The Bindery Operator must be proficient in operating at least three core bindery machines out of six, including Stitcher, Cutter, Folder, Folder/Gluer, Die Cutter, and Collator. The role demands the ability to produce high-quality printing jobs and set up various book sizes with precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate at least three core bindery machines effectively.
• Produce high-quality printing jobs consistently.
• Set up various book sizes, including 3, 5, and 6 pockets, plus cover feeder and 4th and 5th knives.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoot bindery machine issues.
• Handle materials efficiently during production.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in machine operation and bindery processes.
• Ability to perform production changes efficiently.
• Competence in preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshooting skills for bindery machines.
• Experience in material handling and general production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to set up and operate die cutting with the 106E machine.
• Proficiency in folding using a hot melt glue unit.
• Experience with setting up various book sizes and configurations.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two shifts: the first shift typically runs from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and the second shift typically runs from 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm. Employees work in a production setting with bindery machines, where safety and efficiency are prioritized.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $58240.00/yr.
