Job DescriptionStep into the Lab: A Day in This Role
As an Electromechanical Manufacturing Engineering Technologist with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, your day starts on the hardware manufacturing floor in Chaska, MN. You’ll check in with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager—your direct leader—and sync with the Hardware Manufacturing Engineering Team to prioritize work.
- Morning: Tackle electromechanical issues on production or lab equipment—diagnose, isolate, and resolve problems using test equipment, meters, and small hand tools. When issues exceed the scope of immediate repair, you’ll escalate with clear, data-driven notes.
- Midday: Keep our documentation tight. You’ll administer and maintain critical engineering records, including DHF (Design History File) and DMR (Device Master Record) elements, ensuring everything is controlled and audit-ready.
- Afternoon: Execute and record equipment qualifications—IQ/OQ/PQ—to confirm readiness for manufacturing and lab use. You’ll also support product transfers by helping enroll, qualify, and maintain complex production equipment.
This is an on-site position in Chaska, MN.
What You’ll Own
- Hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting and structured problem-solving
- Administration and upkeep of DHF/DMR documentation
- Execution and documentation of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for manufacturing and lab equipment
- Participation in enrolling, qualifying, and maintaining complex production assets during product transfers
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Skill with test equipment, meters, and small hand tools to investigate mechanical non-conformances
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Bonus Points
- Experience with systems that integrate technologies such as motion and temperature control, imaging, lasers, fluid handling, analog signal processing, and software-controlled subsystems
- Background in qualification and ongoing management of production equipment
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly range for this role is $32 - $37. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting, and it may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
