Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a self-contained special education teacher for an elementary caseload of 5-6 students. This contract position starts ASAP and runs through May 29th, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with families, support staff, and administration
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching license
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse learning needs
