Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Data Analyst with strong experience in medical billing, CPT/HCPCS coding, and Medicare fee schedule analysis. This role focuses on extracting billing data from medical records and invoices, validating services rendered, and cross-referencing charges against CMS Medicare pricing tools based on date of service and geographic locality.

This is an analytical role—not routine billing or claims submission. Accuracy, attention to detail, and comfort working with CMS data are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical bills, operative reports, and billing statements
• Extract and validate data
• Enter extracted data with high accuracy
• Use CMS Medicare tools (Physician Fee Schedule, OPPS, ASC, locality adjustments, etc.)
• Maintain organized and auditable data entry
• Flag inconsistencies, missing data, or billing issues when identified

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in medical billing, coding, or reimbursement analysis
• Strong working knowledge of:
• • CPT and HCPCS coding
  • Medical billing statements and explanations of charges
• Hands-on experience using CMS Medicare fee schedules and online pricing tools
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (formulas, formatting, data consistency)
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working with healthcare financial data and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• • Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS)
  • OPPS or ASC payment methodologies
  • Personal Injury or litigation-related medical billing
• CPC, CCS, or similar certification (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with Florida medical billing or personal injury billing environments
• Prior analytical or audit-support experience

• Not patient billing or customer service

This role is strictly focused on billing analysis, pricing validation, and accurate data entry.
