D2 Government Solutions is seeking skilled and reliable Furniture Assembly and Relocation Specialists to join our team in support Marine Corps Installations East – MCB Camp Lejeune. This position involves the disassembly, assembly, relocation, installation, and/or disposal of various types of government-owned furniture and select equipment across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional disassembly, assembly, de-installation, relocation, and installation of modular/systems furniture, case goods, barracks furniture, partition panels, shelving, file cabinets, safes, chairs, and other office/barracks equipment.
- Work in diverse environments, including multi-floor buildings with limited or no elevators.
- Protect facility structures (walls, door frames, flooring) during installation or removal activities.
- Remove and dispose of packaging materials and debris.
- Complete installations so that furniture is fully functional by the end of each workday.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as non-marking, rubber-wheeled hand trucks, dollies, and carts.
- Maintain the security of all tools, equipment, and storage containers.
- Notify the Government Representative of any damages during delivery, installation, or removal.
- Meet daily productivity requirements (minimum of eight rooms/offices completed per day per team).
- Work under the supervision of a designated on-site team lead.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy furniture and equipment.
- Experience with furniture installation, relocation, or similar manual labor in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of assembly requirements for various brands of furniture.
- Must be able to work on-site Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with potential for extended hours and occasional weekend work during emergencies.
- Must be eligible for base access, which includes passing a background check.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to provide two supervised teams of at least three installers each for concurrent jobs.
- Bonus Qualifications:
- Prior military installation work experience.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps Installations East and surrounding facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, bending, and walking.
