Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
Rate: Up to $23 per hour

We are partnering with a wonderful school in Oakland, NJ, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Paraprofessional to join their team.
What You’ll Do:
As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Working closely with the classroom teacher, you will help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of instructional programs in reading, writing, mathematics, and other subjects.
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to reinforce concepts and skills.
- Helping students stay focused and implementing accommodations outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Supporting positive behavior and assisting students in developing essential social skills.
- Collaborating with teachers and the Child Study Team to ensure student success.
What You Will Bring:
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
- The ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of each student.
- Knowledge of child growth and development.
- Familiarity with specific disabilities (preferred).
- Experience working with children (preferred).
- ABA experience (preferred).
- Teacher Certification (preferred).
- Willingness to ride the bus.
- A valid New Jersey Criminal Background Check and CPR/AED Certification (required).
- CPI Certification (required).
