Job Title: Internship - Purchaser

Job Description:

  • Research potential suppliers, compare quotes, and evaluate and qualify suppliers for selection.
  • Purchase raw materials, negotiate prices, and evaluate product quality based on specifications.
  • Create purchase orders, track order status, and receive PO with shipping information update.
  • Coordinate with production planners to determine material requirements.
  • Maintain safety stock levels and forecast demand based on the production schedule.
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager in conducting vendor evaluations, procurement cost analyses, and vendor performance assessments.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and reports.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or Senior/Junior in college courses, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics Management.
  • Advantageous to have procurement or purchasing experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices.

  • Procurement/purchasing

  • ERP, MRP
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Office
  • High data analytical skills and able to generate reports
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 certification
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Chinese and English (advantageous but not required)
