Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are at the heart of what we doand were looking for a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist whos ready to help us build a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated team.


About the Role


As a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist, youll play a key role in shaping our team and ensuring that the right people are hired to deliver exceptional care. Youll be responsible for recruiting and onboarding new DSPs, supporting administrative HR functions, and helping maintain a positive, efficient, and welcoming workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities



Recruitment & Hiring

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Review applications, schedule and conduct interviews
  • Verify employment eligibility and complete background checks through the Orchards Background Check Unit (BCU)
  • Coordinate and manage onboarding documentation and digital employee files

Employee Support and HR Administration

  • Maintain up-to-date records of employee drivers licenses and auto insurance.
  • Keep employee databases accurate and organized
  • Support day-to-day HR communication via phone, text, and email
  • Assist with other HR-related administrative tasks as needed

Collaboration & Culture

  • Collaborate with other departments to support business operations
  • Contribute to a culture of respect, professionalism, and continuous learning
  • Occasionally support clients in the community when needed (transportation, appointments, wellness checks, etc.)



What We're Looking For



Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years or older
  • 12 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a related field
  • Successfully pass a DHS criminal background check
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism
  • No record of substantiated abuse/neglect or CMS exclusion list status

Preferred Skills

  • Passion for serving individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable using Adobe, Microsoft Office, and other software programs
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a major plus!
