Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and energetic Lead Daycare Teacher to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education who can confidently lead a classroom and create a positive learning environment.
As a Lead Teacher, you will oversee daily classroom operations, implement curriculum, and guide assistant teachers to ensure high-quality care and education.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a classroom of children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and structured classroom environment
- Supervise and support assistant teachers
- Monitor and communicate children’s progress with parents
- Ensure compliance with all Virginia state licensing regulations
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of childcare experience required
- Strong leadership and classroom management skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- CDA (Child Development Associate) or Early Childhood Education coursework
- Experience in a licensed childcare facility
- Previous leadership experience
Pay & Benefits
