We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support one of the largest grocery retailers in the United States. This position is based at our manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. As a member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a high standard of service
for a key client of our family-owned company, which has been proudly manufacturing custom retail fixtures for over 120 years.
Position Summary:
As the dedicated point of contact for a major grocery client, you will be responsible for managing incoming orders, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a seamless experience from order placement to product delivery. Your work will involve order entry, shipment tracking, invoice coordination, and proactive communication. This is a client-facing role that requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary customer service contact for a high-volume, key account
- Enter and manage client orders through our ERP system with accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor and communicate order status, shipment tracking, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely fulfillment and invoicing
- Issue invoices and respond to any client billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Proactively address any service issues and ensure client satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with both internal teams and client contacts
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales support, or account management role (preferably in a manufacturing or B2B environment)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
