Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Temporary Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations during a period of increased workload, system transition, or staff coverage. This role will focus on general accounting functions, financial reconciliation, and accurate recordkeeping while ensuring deadlines are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to step in quickly with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
- Support month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Prepare and review financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Support audits, tax filings, and compliance-related tasks as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in accordance with internal controls.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including general ledger exposure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, temporary environment.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour
