We are seeking a qualified, dependable Truck Driver to join our delivery team at our Indianapolis location. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting/receiving loads to/from the customer’s location. You must have or be able to obtain a For Hire endorsement on your drivers license. Our drivers must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with our customers. Our truck drivers are home each night with weekends off. The work schedule is Monday - Thursday from 7:00am - 4:30pm, and Friday from 8:00am - 12:00pm. We prefer candidates who have at least six months of truck driving experience and who know how to perform routine maintenance on trucks, but we are willing to train the right person. Overtime available on an as needed basis.
Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities

Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries

Report any issues to the office staff

Transport lumber and pallets to customer's location

Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with customers on an iPad

Maintain and service vehicles as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)

Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs

Inspect truck at the beginning and end of the day

Track and report working hours

Adhere to company rules and regulations

Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions

Work in the warehouse as needed
Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Valid For Hire endorsement on driver's license preferred

6+ months of driving a tractor-trailer or large truck a plus
-
Clean driving record with no moving violations

Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination

Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks a plus

Forklift Certification (Preferred, not necessary)

Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay Information
Job Type: Full-Time
- $16.20/hour. Pay based on experience.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
