Job Title:
Outside Sales/Business Development Representative – Staffing Agency
Location/Territory:
Mahoning and Columbiana Counties in Ohio
Position Summary:
In this role, you’ll be focused on bringing in new clients and growing accounts by getting in front of local businesses, understanding their hiring needs, and closing new opportunities. You’ll work closely with the internal recruiting team to make sure we deliver the right talent every time.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development and Sales
· Prospect, identify, and qualify new client opportunities within assigned territory
· Conduct outbound sales activities including cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits
· Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
· Conduct client meetings to understand workforce needs, challenges, and hiring goals
· Present and sell staffing solutions (temporary, temp-to-hire, direct hire, project-based, etc.)
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements
· Close new business and meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets
Client Relationship Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for new and developing accounts
· Build long-term client relationships based on trust and results
· Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure successful placements
· Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for account expansion
Market and Industry Knowledge
· Stay informed on local market trends, labor conditions, and competitor activity
· Represent the company at networking events, job fairs, and industry functions
· Provide feedback to leadership on market opportunities and challenges
Qualifications:
Required
· 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience
· Proven ability to prospect, close deals, and meet sales goals
· Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Preferred
· Staffing industry experience (temporary, contract, or direct hire)
· Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, Bullhorn, HubSpot, etc.)
· Existing book of business or local market contacts
Compensation and Benefits:
· Base Salary + Commission (Salary commensurate with experience)
