Job Description
Capital Psychology is Seeking a Part-Time Therapist \n
Capital Psychology, a thriving private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a part-time, fully licensed therapist to join our small team as an associate. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who wants a small, flexible caseload with a steady stream of referrals, including the option to combine this position with another part-time or full-time role.
\n
We have a growing number of adult referrals that we are unable to accommodate and are particularly interested in adding a clinician who enjoys working with adults. Many of these clients are coping with illness or other health-related concerns, so a background in health psychology is strongly preferred but not required.
What makes this position different\n
- \n
- Generous compensation: A highly competitive percentage split in an established out-of-network practice (60%+ depending on experience).
- Flexibility: Approximately 7–10 client hours per week, with flexibility to shape your schedule around your other professional and personal commitments.
- A steady stream of referrals: You will not be expected to build your caseload through your own marketing. We have consistent referrals and are currently turning away adult clients because we don't have the capacity to see them.
- Meaningful telehealth opportunities: A significant portion of referrals can be seen virtually, making this an especially good fit for someone looking for a flexible part-time position.
- Hybrid practice: Maintain a combination of telehealth and in-person work in our bright Bethesda office.
- Supportive, collaborative environment: Work independently while being part of a collegial group practice with opportunities for consultation and collaboration.
- Weekly supervision: Receive regular supervision and support designed to help you continue to grow your clinical skills.
- Clinical autonomy: We are interested in helping clinicians develop and expand areas of clinical interest. For example, the practice can support development of a specialty in health psychology, ADHD, parent-child relationships, anxiety, or another area that fits your interests and expertise.
- Leadership that understands the importance of work/life balance: The practice offers flexibility and understanding around the realities of balancing clinical work with family and other commitments.
