Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a confidential healthcare and recovery services organization in Davie, FL to hire an experienced Admissions Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone with a strong healthcare intake or admissions background who thrives in a fast-paced, phone-driven environment.
This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for long-term internal placement based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls related to admissions and intake
- Conduct initial client screenings and gather required intake information
- Verify insurance benefits, complete benefit checks, and assist with prior authorizations
- Coordinate admissions and referrals across appropriate levels of care
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, families, and referral sources
- Document all interactions accurately in internal systems
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support admissions flow
Preferred Background & Experience
- Prior admissions or intake experience in medical, substance use, or behavioral health settings
- Experience as an Admissions Coordinator, Intake Specialist, Case Manager, BHT, Patient Access, or Patient Services Representative
- Background in medical sales or healthcare call centers with consultative phone work
- Strong phone presence with experience managing high-volume calls
- Hands-on experience with:
- Insurance verification
- Benefit checks
- Prior authorizations
- Intake coordination
- Familiarity with treatment center workflows, levels of care, and referral coordination (preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
