Position Duties:
The Events & Operations specialist role is a front-facing role that has direct client interactions for DC Fray. This position requires you to be well-spoken and requires a high level of production value with the freedom to take smart risks and do innovative work.
Specific Outcomes & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day client relationships, including all aspects of deliverables (internal and external) for events - ie. menus, entertainment, transportation, audio visual, and other vendors.
- Onsite management as continued leader and manager of all moving pieces as required per event.
- Assist in event recruitment efforts through our registration platform, which includes ongoing communication with registered participants.
- With the support of theSenior Manager of Events & Experience,oversee the hiring, scheduling, and training of event squad staff.
- Maintain approved budgets per project, while updating along the way with accurate estimates and projections.
- Coordinate planning efforts across all departments.
Core & Specialized Duties:
- With the support of the Senior Manager of Events & Experience, you will assist in the ordering, receiving, and distribution of event materials.
- In conjunction with the Fray sports team, work weekly night duty and rotating weekend duties.
- With the support of the Senior Operations Manager, assist with updating and maintaining event storage inventory.
- Attention to Detail: You must pay extreme attention to detail in all aspects of the business you interact with. This position requires you to approach duties and daily tasks with the mindset of an owner of the company and to consider things such as profitability, customer service, company goals, company mission, and values in all decision-making opportunities.
- Critical Decision-Making: The ability to determine when decisions should be made at your positions level or when additional coordination from above is needed is paramount. Decisions must be made at the lowest appropriate level to facilitate delegation and growth. The ability to make this judgment and to execute the correct and proper decisions based on previous experience and input, along with the company's mission and values, is a required skill for this position.

- Interacts professionally to build positive relationships with players, vendors, contractors, company partners, and United Fray staff as needed.
- Provides hands-on assistance to other team members with various specialized operational tasks.

- Correctly interprets and makes decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Strong event production & operation experience within various roles and event styles.
- Training & Hiring experience.
- Ability to multitask, resolve on-the-spot matters with little to no supervision.
- Proficiency using online software platforms for event registration, project management, and day-to-day tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency and confidence in leading, managing, and coordinating part-time staff members.
