RN Quality Coordinator
(Level 3 Maternal Designation Program Manager)
Job Summary:
- The Maternal Designation Coordinator is a registered nurse with perinatal experience responsible for oversight of the Maternal designation process.
- The coordinator understands that this process encompasses all aspects of maternal care and ensuring compliance with DSHS, TETAF, DNV, and other regulatory agencies.
- The coordinator has the authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of maternal patient care from admission, stabilization, operative interventions(s) if applicable, thorough discharge to promote alignment with the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for the designation.
- The coordinator will work both independently and in collaboration with the Maternal Medical Director and the Maternal Service Director in developing and/ or revising policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines; assuring staff competencies, education, and training; and leading the QAPI program.
- Ongoing staff education is a key responsibility, working collaboratively with Licensed Practitioners and the Program Medical Director to achieve quality measures and maternal care designation goals.
- The coordinator will participate in any regional meetings involved in the designation, with additional duties as assigned. The coordinator reports directly to the Quality Director.
Regulatory Requirements:
- Current State RN license from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current BLS, NRP and STABLE.
- Min 2 years Maternal Experience.
