PE Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Project Engineer (P.E.) to join our team.
In this role, you'll oversee multiple infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise, construction administration oversight, quality assurance, and client support from project kickoff through completion. You'll work closely with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
This position is primarily based in our Eagan office, with some travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, project reviews, and client coordination. It's an excellent opportunity for a licensed engineer who enjoys balancing technical work, project oversight, and relationship management while influencing the success of multiple projects at once.
What You'll Do
- Provide engineering oversight and construction administration for multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously.
- Serve as a technical resource for project teams, inspectors, contractors, and clients.
- Review project documentation, field reports, testing results, and contractor pay applications.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders to maintain project quality and schedule objectives.
- Conduct periodic site visits to verify project progress, resolve challenges, and support field staff.
- Prepare and review project reports, documentation, and client deliverables.
- Support contract administration, project budgeting, and project performance tracking.
- Ensure compliance with applicable specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
- Mentor and support field staff while promoting PE Services' commitment to quality and client service.
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in construction administration, municipal infrastructure, transportation, or related engineering projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
- Strong technical writing and documentation abilities.

The hourly rate for this role is $42-$60 dependent on relevant experience.
