Job Description

A Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, safety, and high standards of service throughout the facility. They supervise housekeeping staff, assign duties, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and according to company standards. The supervisor assists with training new employees, monitoring inventory and supplies, addressing guest concerns, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.


  • Develops the weekly and monthly schedules for the department based on business levels, reviews weekly with Club Manager & Housekeeping Manager
  • Communicates with the lodging and member-services teams on arrival, departures and special needs of our members & guests
  • Plans the work of the housekeeping department and distributes assignments, accordingly, assigns regular and special duties of housekeepers, schedules and assigns days off according to occupancy forecasts
  • Plans for professional development and training activities for housekeepers
  • Conducts regular inspections of all club facilities to note needs of special cleaning
  • Develop effective strategies to communicate with other departments
  • Organizes and cleans all linens, towels, etc. and restocks all bathroom and locker room areas
  • Maintains a neat, clean and presentable appearance
  • Participate in ongoing evaluation programs to ensure that all club areas meet cleanliness, safety, and other standards.
  • Works in a team environment to complete assigned tasks
  • Follows all club policies and procedures appropriately

Minimum

  • Previous housekeeping experience 4 years with proven leadership ability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional hospitality training preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cleaning techniques/equipment, and effective communication.
  • Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and respecting privacy.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed to support operations

Physical Requirements include:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens sporadically throughout the day.
  • Push and pull a hotel or laundry cart up to 75 pounds as needed.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching while making beds and cleaning rooms.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including stairs and occasional outdoor areas.
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment, following all safety and PPE requirements.
