Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:
\n
• Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices including troubleshooting and maintenance
\n• Confer with physicians to determine appropriate procedures for effective operations
\n• Document all laboratory operations including receipt and disposition of radioactive materials
\n• Maintain instrument and procedural quality control data, patient procedures, and medical records
\n• Exercise judgment in performing scheduled examinations and procedures to ensure compliance with guidelines
\n• Provide clinical instructions for radiology students and residents
\n• Operate gamma cameras, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
\n• Administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines
\n• Perform cardiac studies with basic EKG knowledge
\n• Maintain knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments
\n• On call schedule to be determined by facility
\n• Weekend schedule to be determined by facility
\n• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
\n• Must have 24 months minimum of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
\n• Active permanent or temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Medical Board required
\n• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT within 6 months of hire required
\n• Siemens and Spectrum Imaging experience highly preferred
\n• Must have thorough working knowledge of chemistry, physics, mathematics and biomedical sciences related to nuclear medicine technology
