Competitive salary starting at $250,000+, based on experience**
Description:
Seeking a Board‐Certified or Board‐Eligible Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) for an outpatient musculoskeletal setting. The role includes comprehensive patient care, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborative work with a multidisciplinary medical team. The ideal candidate is committed to excellent patient outcomes and high‐quality clinical care.
Responsibilities:
- Examine and evaluate patients requiring physical therapy or musculoskeletal care.
- Diagnose pain related to injury, disease, or disabling conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform medical procedures including:

- Trigger point injections
- Joint and soft‐tissue injections
- Ultrasound‐guided procedures
- Fluoroscopically guided procedures (if applicable)
- Conduct or supervise electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCV).
- Lead and collaborate with a team of physical therapists and other clinical staff.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Counsel patients and families regarding pain management, rehabilitation expectations, and lifestyle modifications.
- Order appropriate imaging (X‐ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound) and refer to specialists when clinically indicated.
- Perform initial evaluations and periodic re‐evaluations to assess progress or the need to modify/discontinue treatment.
- Prescribe orthotic devices and ensure proper fitting.
- Maintain complete, accurate medical records.
- Document range of motion using standard tools such as a handheld goniometer.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Experience in outpatient musculoskeletal or rehabilitation practice preferred.
- Knowledge of physical rehabilitation protocols for a wide range of injuries.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with physical therapists and PT assistants.
- Ability to treat patients of all ages.
- Proficiency with injections, prescription management, and pain management strategies.
Education & Training:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board‐Certified or Board‐Eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
- Active NY medical license
- BLS certification
- Clinical skills in pain management and rehabilitation strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Ability to lift, position, push, or transfer patients
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
