GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Test at the next level of acceptance testing. Some examples are Automated/ Manual Test Stations and Sub Testing with troubleshooting to board and component level. Other examples include also performing first level testing like Hi Pot and Ground Continuity (both manual and automated).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Test using various equipment (i.e., scopes, meters, signal generators, power sources, etc.)
- Be able to find and understand associated technical procedures needed.
- Identify pass / fail conditions.
- Ability to navigate computer functions.
- Record data.
- Read a detailed schematic for troubleshooting purposes.
- Perform board and component level troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of test equipment and test station.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE: Three to six years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of customers or employees of organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced skills: Ability to use internet/intranet, cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software, the MS Office package, and other software programs and packages to their potential to provide a work product fitting to the level of the position. Must also be able to perform troubleshooting
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass Electrical Safety Training
- Must pass Technician Electrical / Testing knowledge test

Vision Requirements
- Very Close vision (clear vision at 10 inches or less)

- Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point)
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
- Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The following are characteristics associated with the environment in which this job is typically performed.

Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
SALARY RANGE
The starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $22.00 and $27.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
