About the Role:

The Construction Laborer plays a vital role in supporting the successful completion of construction projects by performing a variety of physical tasks on-site. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople, preparing and cleaning job sites, and handling materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow. The laborer contributes to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, which is essential for project efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. Through consistent effort and teamwork, the Construction Laborer helps meet project deadlines and quality standards. Ultimately, this role is fundamental in laying the groundwork for the structural and aesthetic elements of construction projects in the Main, MAIN area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the location specified.
  • Valid OH Driver's License and the ability to be insured.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction or a related labor-intensive field.
  • Familiarity with common construction tools and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of construction terminology and processes.
  • Certification in OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety training.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
  • Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazards.
  • Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Transport materials to designated areas on the job site.
  • Help with site setup including erecting scaffolding and barriers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
