Job Summary

Brevard Cultural Alliance is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operations, communications, and event coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administrative, creative, and hands-on work, and is excited to contribute to a dynamic, community-focused organization.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

· Monitor general email inbox and assist with responses

· Answer phone calls and manage voicemail messages

· Maintain organized digital files and records

· Update contact lists and databases

Communications and Content

· Draft, format, and send weekly newsletters

· Manage and update online community calendar

· Assist with website updates and content maintenance

· Create basic graphics for flyers, emails, and social media

· Schedule and post social media content

Event and Program Support

· Assist with planning and coordination of events

· Track RSVPs and prepare event materials

· Help set up, run, and break down events

· Support art installations and program activities

Board and Organization Support

· Schedule board meeting locations

· Sent meeting calendar invitations

· Prepare and assemble board packets and materials

Office Operations

· Order and maintain office supplies

· Keep shared spaces tidy and organized

· Assist with basic upkeep (trash, light cleaning, etc.)

Support general BCA activities, the Board of Directors and Committees as directed.

Other duties as assigned.

Reports to Executive Director.

Works closely with Art Services Manager, Accountant, Board of Directors, community members.

Education and Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Some college coursework or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· 1-3 years of administrative, customer service, retail, or internship experience preferred.

· Valid driver’s license required.

Required Skills

· Strong knowledge and passion for the arts

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to develop and adapt systems and procedures for a smooth workflow

· Familiarity with social media platforms

· Basic graphic design skills

· Highly organized and attentive to detail

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

· This is a part-time position.

· Hours include in-office work and exhibition installations across Brevard County.

· Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, and pulling are required.

Compensation and Benefits

· Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week

· $15/hour

· Holidays off
