The candidate will set up and operate multiple 2-axis CNC lathe machines to manufacture fittings and other components for the aerospace and defense industry. They will also perform first article inspections on their own parts, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathe machines.
- Manufacture aerospace and defense components with precision.
- Conduct first article inspections on manufactured parts.
- Work with tolerances of +/- 5/1000.
- Utilize materials such as titanium, stainless steel, and minimal aluminum.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Experience with precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to perform unsupervised setups in an aerospace context.
- Experience with G code programming and program edits.
- Familiarity with Fanuc and Swiss machining.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant school program is acceptable.
- Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred.
- Experience in first article inspection is advantageous.
- Swiss machining experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The facility operates on two shifts: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. It is a new machine shop with 52 CNC machines and a team of 55 employees, offering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
