Job Description

Job Description

At ProService, we help Hawaii employers build better workplaces — and training is one of the most visible ways we do it. Our clients are business owners and their teams, and they look to us not just for compliance answers but for the kind of clear, engaging instruction that actually changes how people lead and manage. The Client HR Trainer is how that happens.

This role blends instructional design, deep HR knowledge, client relationship management, and live facilitation — across formats ranging from intimate classroom sessions to large-scale events and virtual webinars. It’s genuinely unique: high variety, high visibility, and a real opportunity to shape how Hawaii employers think about their people.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Deliver expert HR training across a variety of formats — classroom, ballroom, webinar, podcast, on-demand, and social media.
  • Tailor training content to each client’s culture, industry, and goals in collaboration with the Instructional Designer and L&D Specialist.
  • Manage all training logistics including scheduling, venues, materials, and client communications to ensure a seamless participant experience.
  • Travel inter-island to facilitate onsite sessions (up to 50% inter-island travel required) and deliver virtual sessions as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively address training needs, and track engagement in Salesforce.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adapting to shifting client priorities with professionalism.

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This role moves fast and covers a lot of ground. In a given week, you might be facilitating a compliance workshop on Oahu, customizing a leadership development session for a Maui-based client, and following up on training feedback — all while managing your schedule across islands. The variety is energizing, but it does require strong organization and genuine comfort with frequent travel.

The facilitation bar here is high. Clients notice the difference between a trainer who simply delivers content and one who reads the room, adjusts on the fly, and makes the material stick. We encourage candidates to consider the inter-island travel demands carefully before applying — up to 50% of working time is spent traveling to facilitate onsite client sessions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for HR topics, a natural presence in front of a room, and the organizational discipline to manage a high-volume training calendar. Prior facilitation experience is required; formal HR credentials are a plus but not required if your experience demonstrates strong content knowledge.

You’re probably a fit if:

  • You’re a confident, engaging facilitator who can hold a room. Whether it’s 8 people or 80, you bring energy and clarity — and you adjust your delivery based on who’s in front of you. Participants leave better informed and more engaged than when they arrived.
  • You have strong working knowledge of HR and employment law topics. You can speak to compliance, leadership development, and workplace culture with credibility — and you can answer hard questions without losing the room.
  • You build rapport quickly and maintain it over time. Clients remember you — not just the training. You follow up, stay accessible, and treat every interaction as part of a longer relationship.
  • You’re highly organized and manage your own schedule well. You juggle multiple client engagements, travel logistics, and project deadlines without things slipping — and you do it without constant oversight.
  • You welcome feedback and use it to get better. You actively seek input after sessions, reflect honestly on what landed and what didn’t, and bring that learning back into your next delivery.
