Job Description Staff Accountant Overland Park, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Direct Hire | up to $65,000 annually LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client who is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. In this role, you'll support month-end close activities, maintain accurate financial records, assist with audits, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, curious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Process accounts payable or accounts receivable transactions as needed
- Monitor compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (internships included)
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem?solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
