Position Overview
- Prepare financial statements, maintain general ledger, and perform account reconciliations and related analysis.
- Conduct monthly cost accounting for materials and finished inventory.
- Develop monthly profitability forecasts for manufacturing operations.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and reconcile related accounts.
- Oversee monthly and year-end close, including audit and tax schedule preparation.
- Handle accounts receivable across multiple divisions.
- Hire, train, and supervise office staff.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Provide financial analysis for special projects.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with company accounting teams and management.
- Work closely with manufacturing sites in Wisconsin and Alabama, with occasional travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong background in general ledger functions.
- Experience with audits (external, sales tax, etc.).
- Preference for candidates with manufacturing experience, especially inventory/cost accounting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Professional demeanor and team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
