A school district in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced School Psychologist for a contracted position running from August 11, 2025, to May 28, 2026. This opportunity involves supporting K-12 students with a focus on elementary and middle school caseloads. The role requires working split days between two buildings, with core hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for students in elementary and middle school settings
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions and support plans
- Providing counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and legal standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations, particularly at the elementary and middle school levels
- Knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
