Role Overview
Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a manufacturing company seeking a HAAS CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating HAAS equipment. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for machinists with 3–5 years of CNC experience who are looking to advance their skills, take on increased responsibility, and grow within a stable, precision-focused environment.
In this role, you will set up, operate, and inspect CNC-machined parts while supporting production efficiency and quality initiatives.Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines, including mills and/or lathes
- Load programs, perform tool offsets, and make basic program edits as needed
- Produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot routine machining and tooling issues
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Follow safety, quality, and shop procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts across machining and production processes
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tolerances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Experience with HAAS CNC machines
- Familiarity with Mastercam or similar CAM software
- Basic CNC programming or G-code editing experience
- Experience producing tight-tolerance or precision components
Technical Skills & Technologies
- CNC machine setup and operation (HAAS preferred)
- Basic CNC programming and G-code comprehension
