Job DescriptionOncology Surgical Scheduler - Role Summary
Join a patient-centered oncology team as a Surgical Scheduler, playing a critical role in ensuring a smooth and compassionate surgical experience for cancer patients. This position requires expertise in high-volume scheduling, coordination with providers and clinical staff, and strong patient communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Schedule ~200 surgical cases per day across a team of four schedulers.

Support 3-5 oncology providers and coordinate scheduling by floor.

Assist patients with MyChart, ensuring all forms and pre-op requirements are completed.

Verify authorizations, documentation, and pre-operative necessities.

Maintain accurate records, notes, and follow-up actions.

Collaborate closely with scheduling team and clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.

Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients undergoing cancer care.
Must-Have Qualifications:

EPIC experience required.

Minimum 1 year oncology experience.
Preferred Attributes:

Empathy and sensitivity with oncology patients.

Strong communication, note-taking, and organizational skills.

Self-starter with ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
