Robert Half is partnering with a leading Agricultural organization to hire an Experimental Parts Procurement Coordinator. This position supports experimental manufacturing operations by managing part routings, coordinating material movement, maintaining accurate inventory, and troubleshooting issues that impact production flow.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude, strong Excel skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment.


Location: Ankeny

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday (flexible start at 6:00 AM)

Overtime: Possible, based on business needs

Visa Sponsorship: Not available now or in the near future


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit manufacturing routings for experimental builds
  • Generate programs for fabrication operations
  • Review manufactured part prints for accuracy and manufacturability
  • Monitor production inventory and forecast material requirements
  • Execute stock transfers between departments and maintain documentation
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding material movement
  • Coordinate with Supply Management on purchased parts and availability
  • Prepare and maintain daily/weekly production reports using Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Occasionally design and model simple parts for shop use
  • Support engineers with part request troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to laser programs and routing discrepancies

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate degree in Pre‑Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field (Equivalent experience will be considered.)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and prints
  • Experience with CREO and AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with SAP and Power BI
  • Knowledge of inventory management fundamentals
  • High computer literacy and comfort learning new systems

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
  • Knowledge of sheet metal and other fabrication processes
