Arise Staffing is currently seeking a full-time, remote Physician Extender: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in support of the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Office of the Air Surgeon at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. Candidates should have current experience in Occupational Health or Adult Primary Care (Family, Flight, Internal, or Emergency Medicine). Background in Aerospace Medicine and/or Military Case Management is highly preferred.

Work Schedule:
This position is fully remote; however, standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST, for a total of 40 hours per week.
No Weekends, No Holidays, and No On-Call Requirements!
Requirements:
Job Duties, the duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive patient information from Guard Medical Units or Air Force recruiters and make decisions or recommendations to close the case using applicable Air Force policy and guidance.
- Case types include but are not limited to line of duty determinations, military retention or accession, commissioning, fly cases, incapacitation pay, convalescent leave, Congressional inquiries, and Board for Correction of Military Records. A case is closed once final disposition is completed or transferred to higher authority.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Physician assistant: Graduation from a master’s degree awarding Physician Assistant/Physician Associate (PA) program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Nurse practitioner: a master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited program with specialty board certification.
- Experience: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with extensive Aerospace Medicine experience in adult primary care (e.g., family medicine, flight medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine), experience in military flight medicine or military medical case management.
- Certification: Primary Care Certification
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License.
