  • Support design for manufacturability (DFM) during product development in coordination with design and R&D teams.

Tooling & Equipment

  • Design and specify tools, jigs, fixtures, and custom equipment to support aerospace part production.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and automation teams on equipment upgrades and preventative maintenance planning.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with AS9100, FAA, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI), process validation (PPAP, PFMEA), and corrective actions (CAPA).

  • Review engineering drawings and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities and quality requirements.

Production Support

  • Provide hands-on support to production teams to troubleshoot process issues and reduce downtime.

  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.

  • Monitor key metrics (scrap rate, cycle time, throughput) and implement improvements as needed.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Collaborate on the launch of new aerospace products, including production layout planning, time studies, and cost estimation.

  • Lead pilot builds and process validation for new programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.

  • 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace industry.

  • Proficiency in CAD and CAM tools (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).

  • Experience with AS9100, NADCAP, and aerospace-specific documentation.

  • Strong understanding of machining, assembly, and/or composite manufacturing processes.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Experience with CNC programming, additive manufacturing, or aerospace composites.

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and documentation for airworthiness and traceability.
