Administrative Assistant to Certified Public Accountant, Santa Rosa, CA
Position Overview:
We are a firm specializing in providing accounting and tax services to high-income individuals, estates and trusts, partnerships, and corporations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Administrative Assistant to support our Certified Public Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient office operations and ensuring excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as the first point of contact for clients, demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette and professional appearance.
· Assist in the preparation and dissemination of completed tax returns and correspondence to clients and various taxing authorities (federal and multi-state).
· Perform administrative duties such as processing data, drafting correspondence, and maintaining organized records.
· Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) to facilitate office operations and client communication.
· Learn and use additional software tools with provided training.
· Support the office during peak tax preparation season (February–April), with working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Professional appearance and demeanor.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality and discretion.
· Willingness to learn new software tools.
· Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Starting hourly wage: $18.00 to $24.00, commensurate with experience and knowledge.
· Eligibility to participate in California’s retirement plan.
· Three-month probationary period, with a performance review and potential wage adjustment upon completion.
