Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or Physician Assistant to join our Private Practice in Tracy, CA. The ideal candidate will provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients from birth to age 17. You will work independently to manage patient health, aiming to build lasting relationships with families in the San Joaquin County community.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive physical exams, developmental screenings, and medical history reviews for infants, children, and adolescents.

• Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses (e.g., otitis media, strep, viral infections) and manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, eczema, ADHD).

• Prescribing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays); prescribe medications and therapies under valid California Furnishing licensure.

• Patient Education: Provide anticipatory guidance to parents regarding growth/development, nutrition, safety, and vaccination schedules (AAP guidelines).

• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in the Office ally EHR 24/7 system.

• Perform routine well-child checks and sports physicals.

• Administer immunizations and track vaccination compliance.

• Manage minor injuries (suturing/splinting experience is a plus).

• Coordinate referrals to specialists (e.g., allergy, dermatology) as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.

• Licensure (California Required):

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License.

  • Current California Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certificate.

  • CA NP Furnishing Number (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Current Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE) Certificate.

• Certification: Board Certification by PNCB (CPNP-PC or CPNP-AC) or ANCC.

• Registrations:

  • Active DEA Registration (Schedules II-V).

  • Current BLS and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations in pediatrics are encouraged to apply.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly preferred to serve the diverse Tracy community.

• Familiarity with California AB 890 (transition to independent practice) is a plus.

• Strong proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen, Athena).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $65 - $80 per hour – Dependent on experience.
