About Us

VisionLOCK is at the forefront of next-generation cataract care. In partnership with RxSight, manufacturer of the Light Adjustable Lens, VisionLOCK is enabling eye surgeons to dramatically improve visual outcomes for cataract patients with the first and only IOL that can be adjusted postoperatively to fine-tune a patient’s vision. By offering dedicated postoperative support and adjustment services, VisionLOCK makes it easier for ophthalmologists to integrate this transformative lens technology into their practice.

We are seeking skilled, medically inclined Optometrists to join us as Certified Adjusting Doctors. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking shift in cataract care, in a high-growth company that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction.

Job Summary

VisionLOCK is seeking highly motivated, medically oriented Optometrists to serve as Certified Adjusting Doctors for the Light Adjustable Lens (LAL). This part-time role is ideal for skilled professionals interested in collaborating with leading cataract surgeons while helping patients achieve exceptional vision through postoperative light treatment adjustments.

As a Certified Adjusting Doctor, you will be responsible for delivering precise, individualized UV light treatments that fine-tune the patient’s vision following LAL implantation. Your role will be critical in helping patients achieve personalized visual outcomes based on their preferences and lifestyle needs.

This part-time role is approximately one and a half to two days per week (depending on market needs), with the opportunity for additional days as determined by demand and interest. The Certified Adjusting Doctors will complete the light treatments within a local surgical practice where the Light Delivery Device (LDD) is housed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the RxSight training and certification program
  • Perform precise postoperative refractive assessments and adjustments to the implanted LAL using the RxSight Light Delivery Device (LDD)
  • Educate patients on expectations, the adjustment process, and the concept of blended vision
  • Collaborate with cataract surgeons and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Help patients reach their goal of “*20/happy”* vision—clear, customized, and consistent with their expectations
  • Adhere to VisionLOCK best practice standards, protocols, and Quality Assurance processes to ensure clinical excellence

Qualifications and Experience

  • Licensed Optometrist (must hold an active OD license)
  • Experienced with hands-on patient care:
  • With a residency and 2+ years of experience
  • Or 5+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Medically inclined with a focus on post-surgical care and high patient impact
  • Skilled in performing therapeutic procedures
  • Enthusiastic and experienced in patient communication and counseling
  • Self-motivated and highly reliable, able to work in an independent environment

Why Join VisionLOCK?

  • Be part of an innovative company that is transforming cataract surgery outcomes
  • Work alongside leading medical professionals in ophthalmology and optometry
  • Highly competitive compensation with bonus opportunities
  • Flexible, part-time hours (~2 days/week, scalable with demand)
  • Be part of the team that’s taking this concept national
