An Installation Manager oversees a company’s organizational processes and adds improvements to it. The Installation Manager position is responsible for the overall day-to-day activities of the Operations Department, which includes the Inspection Department, Installation Department, Warehouse, and Inventory. Overall responsibilities include ensuring all employees in these departments are being effective and efficient in their daily work activities and ensuring that all transactions with customers are handled in a timely and professional manner. The primary goal of this position is to maximize profits in all areas of the Operations Department and to maintain a strong focus on Customer Retention.

This role serves as the operational counterpart to the Deputy Branch Manager, translating strategic direction into actionable plans and ensuring consistent execution across departments. The role will lead internal teams, drive accountability, and provide technical and financial oversight, while collaborating closely with senior leadership and field experts to ensure operational excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Quote Requests and Inspections are closed out in a timely manner and are completed accurately.

  • Establish an ongoing training program to provide training on all types of Fire Alarm systems and proper installation procedures for the Inspectors and Installation Department.

  • Establish an ongoing training program to teach customer service skills and the importance of properly handling customers’ needs.

  • Establish an ongoing training program to ensure that all members of the Operations Department are proficient in Outlook.

  • Handle all Operations disputes including the customer and any billing discrepancies.

  • Handle all personnel issues for the Operations department including performance evaluations and both verbal and written warnings for disciplinary reasons.

  • Regularly meet with customers to gain feedback on how we can improve the Inspection Department, Installation Department, and Service Department.

  • Evaluate manpower requirements and make recommendations to the Management Team on the addition or deletion of employees and be responsible for hiring all new employees in the Operations Department.

  • Work with the Technicians, Inspectors and Field Engineers to determine an accurate inventory level for their truck inventory. Work on establishing minimum levels of inventories with an automatic ROP and ROQ.

  • Create performance data to track achievements for each area and provide weekly feedback to the Management Team.

  • Work with the Account Managers to develop a level of confidence in our ability to resolve Operation-related issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Accountability

  • Lead and manage department heads and team leads across operations, service, and project management.

  • Facilitate weekly and monthly operational meetings to drive accountability and performance. Monitor team KPIs and ensure alignment with branch goals and corporate standards.

Operational Execution

  • Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Financial Oversight

  • Review and interpret financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making. Partner with the Deputy Branch Manager to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and support across projects, leveraging deep industry knowledge.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Technical Advisor to ensure field teams are trained and supported in complex situations.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Assistant Branch Manager to implement systems, procedures, and strategic initiatives.

  • Act as a key liaison between field operations, technical leadership, and executive management.

Other Duties:

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations leadership within the fire sprinkler or related construction industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems and field operations. Demonstrated success in leading teams, running meetings, and driving accountability.

  • Financial literacy with experience in budget management and performance analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Positioning Within the Organization

  • This role is designed to complement the strategic leadership of the Assistant Branch Manager by owning the execution side of the business. The Installation Manager will not be responsible for designing systems or workflows but will ensure they are implemented effectively. The Senior Technical Advisor remains the primary resource for field expertise and client technical support, while the Installation Manager ensures that operations run smoothly and teams are aligned.

Anticipated Close Date 11/10/2025

Pay Range - 120k-150k Based on experience
