Marketing Coordinator – Cryptozoic Entertainment (Laguna Hills, CA)
Do you love games? Are you passionate about marketing?
Cryptozoic Entertainment is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to engage our fans and promote our diverse line of tabletop games, trading cards, and collectibles. You'll take a leading role on social media, marketing campaigns, ecommerce, and crowdfunding initiatives—working with exciting brands like DC Deck-Building Game, Adventure Time Card Wars, and Epic Spell Wars.
We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer, proactive marketer, fan of tabletop games, and ready to jump in with minimal supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Strategy
● Develop and execute marketing plans across social, digital, and ecommerce platforms.
● Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing teams to align on product messaging and launch plans.
● Manage organization of marketing materials.
Social Media & Community Engagement
● Own the company’s presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X.
● Create and schedule regular posts, engage with fans, and grow our online audience.
● Plan and manage giveaways, advertising pushes, and PR campaigns.
Crowdfunding & Fan Campaigns
● Support Kickstarter and other crowdfunding initiatives by writing updates, responding to comments, and coordinating visuals with the design team.
● Help build excitement and community around product launches.
Ecommerce & Digital Content
● Maintain and optimize product listings on Shopify, Amazon, and eBay.
● Write compelling product copy, blog posts, and press releases.
● Partner with our digital ads team to create and manage online ad campaigns.
Content Creation & Video
● Assist with scripting and shooting short-form promotional videos (e.g., tutorials, product spotlights). Some editing skills are useful, but not necessary.
● Create engaging marketing assets for various platforms. Basic video editing skills are a plus.
Outreach & Events
● Identify and collaborate with reviewers, influencers, streamers, and other content creators.
● Maintain contact with hobby shops and industry partners to grow our presence.
● Attend conventions to demo games, support sales, and connect with fans.
Qualifications
● 2+ years of professional marketing experience
● Passion for tabletop gaming and pop culture
● Bachelor's degree
● Excellent writing and communication skills
● Experience managing social media platforms and online communities
● Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask across projects
● Familiarity with Shopify, Kickstarter, and basic video editing (preferred)
● Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
● Willingness to travel as needed
