Part Time Day Cook

What you'll do:
- Follows recipes and prepare meals that correspond to the menu cycle
- Cooks or prepares palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in institutional quantities according to census and diet type, that are served at proper temperatures and at proper times
- Adjusts food quantities according to the needs of residents to prevent over/under production of food
- Serves meals on time
- Keeps a clean and organized work area
- Prepares and maintain a supply of food substitutes to accommodate resident's choice and preferences
- Assists Dietary Manager in preparations for inspections and state surveys
- Follows facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times
- Other duties as necessary and assigned.

What we're looking for:
- Current Food Handlers Permit
- ServSafe Certification is preferred
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus years' experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Experience cooking in a skilled nursing facility a plus
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:
- Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
- Full range of body motion including handling and lifting objects
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility
