The Clinic Supervisor supports the Senior Clinic Operations Manager in the day-to-day operational oversight of a medical clinic. This role is responsible for the direct supervision, coaching, and performance management of a team of Medical Assistants, ensuring high standards of patient care, efficient clinic flow, and compliance with clinical and operational policies.
What you will do:
- Provide direct supervision to Medical Assistants, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
- Serve as a frontline leader and escalation point for MA-related workflow, attendance, and performance issues
- Conduct regular check-ins, feedback conversations, and performance evaluations
- Support onboarding and ongoing competency development of Medical Assistants
- Partner closely with the Senior Clinic Operations Manager to support daily clinic operations and staffing coverage
- Ensure efficient patient flow and appropriate MA coverage to support providers and clinic volume
- Assist with identifying operational challenges and implementing process improvements
- Act as Manager-on-Duty as assigned when needed
- Ensure Medical Assistants adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, state and federal regulations)
- Reinforce proper documentation, rooming procedures, and clinical workflows
- Serve as a liaison between Medical Assistants, providers, and clinic leadership
- Escalate operational or staffing concerns appropriately to the Senior Clinic Operations Manager
- Promote a positive, respectful, and patient-centered work environment
- Support high standards of patient care and service excellence
- Address patient or provider concerns related to MA support and clinic operations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic performance goals
- Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field is preferred
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required
- Minimum 2–4years experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting
- Prior experience leading or supervising staff (formal or informal)
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and medical office operations
- Experience in a multi-provider or high-volume clinic environment
- Experience supporting operational leaders or managers
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- Working knowledge of EHR systems and clinic scheduling workflows
Compensation Range:
$72,000 to $80,000 Annually
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
