Job Title: House Person
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor
Position Summary:
The House Person supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room preparation, and ensuring supplies and linens are stocked and distributed. This role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and outdoor spaces.

Deliver and retrieve linens, amenities, and supplies to/from guest floors and storage areas.

Assist room attendants with removing soiled linens, trash, and cleaning supplies from guestrooms.

Respond promptly to housekeeping and guest requests, including delivering extra amenities or assisting with special setups.

Keep storage closets, carts, and work areas organized and stocked.

Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned (e.g., carpet shampooing, floor scrubbing, window washing).

Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Assist other departments when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:

Previous hotel or janitorial experience preferred, but not required—training provided.

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on guest service.

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
