Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to support students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade at an elementary school located in Naval Anacost Annex, DC. This contract position, running from ASAP through June, offers 20 hours per week of meaningful clinical experience in a dynamic educational setting.

The caseload will primarily focus on children ages PK3 to 5th grade, supporting speech and language development across a range of communication needs. A strong background in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is essential, with experience in TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life highly preferred. This role is ideal for clinicians holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) who have a passion for pediatric speech therapy within schools and healthcare environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, especially within school settings
  • Knowledge of AAC devices, specifically TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life
  • CCC certification or current CFY eligibility
  • Ability to work effectively with early childhood and elementary-aged students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to children and educational teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators and caregivers to support student progress

  • Document and report on student performance regularly
